her weight dwindles as she begins to soar
and gravity loses its' hold on all earthly things
she floats closer and closer to the stars
laughing
laughing
laughing
and reaching out with childlike hands
until the sun and the moon
heaven and earth
even god herself
lie within her grasp
her eyes shine with joy as the wings gently push through her back
she expected it.
now everything is attainable
as she darts from speck to speck of shiny glitter
she shrieks and smiles and yearns to share the elation with those she left behind
and as she floats back down to the earth
she holds the experience close in her heart
to be shared with her true love.
